Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship
The internet can be a great place to learn and play. But, just like crossing a street or talking to strangers, there are rules that kids should follow when they are online. We encourage children to go to their parents (or a trusted adult) if they experience anything online that may not feel quite right. Students should be letting parents know when anyone tries to talk to them, whether its through a chat on a game or app, or an email or text. We use common sense media in library class as a starting point for many lessons and conversations.
